Sanjay R.
Parikh, MD, FACC

Dr.
Parikh is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and its
sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology. He is a fellow of the American
Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology.
He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Indiana University
Hospitals/Riley Children's Hospital, and his senior fellowship at
Children's Hospital, Boston. He served for five years as a faculty
member at Riley Hospital, where he was also associate director for
Cardiac Cath Labs. He has extensive experience in cardiac
catheterization. Dr. Parikh performed the first stent placements
in pulmonary arteries in children and coil embolization for ductus
arteriosus in Indiana. He has published more than 25
original articles and abstracts.
Ginnie Abarbanell, MD
Pediatric Cardiologist
Special Interests: Echocardiography and Fetal Echocardiography
Dr.
Abarbanell is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics. She
completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of
Michigan Health System C.S Mott Children's Hospital in Anne Arbor, MI.
Dr. Abarbanell earned her MD at the University of Washington School of
Medicine in Seattle, WA and completed a Pediatric Residency at Loma
Linda Children's Hospital in Loma Linda, CA where she was awarded the
Chul Choon Cha Award for the neonatology intensive care unity junior
resident of the year and the Hertha Ehlers Resident Award of
Excellence for Outstanding Pediatric Resident. She was involved
with the Children's Heart Project and Medical Missions in Honduras
managing children with congenital heart disease and bringing children to
the University of Michigan for treatment and surgery during Pediatric
Cardiology Fellowship.
Anil Kumar, MD

Dr. Kumar is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and its
sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology. He has received fellowship training
in Pediatric Cardiology in both Canada and the University of Florida at
Gainesville. He served for six years as faculty member in Pediatric
Cardiology at the University of Texas in Galveston. He has published
many articles on the genetics of various congenital heart defects and
other related areas of Pediatric Cardiology. He is a fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology.
Leonard A.
Steinberg, MD
Pediatric Cardiologist

Pediatric Electrophysiology, Arrhythmias and Pacemakers
Dr. Steinberg is a certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and its
sub board of pediatric Cardiology. He earned a MD from Duke University School of Medicine,
Durham, NC and completed a Pediatric Residency at Vanderbilt Children's
Hospital, Nashville, TN. He completed a Pediatric Cardiology
Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and an Electrophysiology
Fellowship at The Care Group, Indianapolis, IN. He has advanced
training in Pediatric Electrophysiology, arrhythmias and pacemakers. His
experience with stereotaxis in pediatric patients and adults with
congenital heart disease is unsurpassed worldwide. Dr. Steinberg
performed the first sterotaxis procedure on a pediatric patient in
Indiana.

Abraham, MD

Dr.
Abraham is certified by the American Boards of Surgery and Thoracic
Surgery. He completed his medical degree from the University of
Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine. His thoracic surgery training
took place at the University of Michigan and was followed by fellowship
at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His surgical training also
includes a residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a biotechnology
fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
He holds
the positions of editorial consultant/reviewer with several publications
including the New England Journal of Medicine and the American
Heart Association's
Circulation. He has held faculty positions at Johns Hopkins and the
University of Kentucky prior to joining programs at St.Vincent Hospital
and the Indiana Heart Institute. His areas of interest are neonatal
correction of congenital heart defects and heart transplantation.

Bodenmiller, MS, RNC, PNP

Ms.
Bodenmiller received her Bachelor's Degree in nursing from Ball State
University and a Masters Degree in Parent-Child Nursing from the
University of Michigan. She is credentialed by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center and is a member of the National Association of
Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners. In addition to providing
specialized pediatric care for our patients, she is coordinator of the
International Charity Care Program, which provides heart surgery for
children around the world.
